Word On the Streets: Ralph Lauren Corporation names CFO.

Ralph Lauren, the American premium fashion and lifestyle brand, has hired Christopher Peterson as senior vice president and chief financial officer. The appointment follows the resignation of Tracey Travis who left the luxury apparel company last month to “pursue other interest”.

Peterson will assume his new role on September 24 and he will be responsible for the company’s global finance and information technology organisations, and he will report directly to Roger Farah, president and chief operating officer.

He brings with him more than 25 years of broad-based financial and operational experience, primarily in the global consumer products industry, and most recently he was chief financial officer of Procter & Gamble’s Global Household Care division.

“We are excited to welcome Chris to our senior team,” said Farah. “With 25 years of broad-based, global financial and operational experience with some of the world’s most well-known brands, he has a demonstrated track record of disciplined leadership. He will be a strong partner as we continue to execute our long-term strategic growth objectives.”
