In
what may be termed as the deepest cut of all, the Rivers State chapter
of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has congratulated Plateau State
Governor, Jonah Jang, in his victory as the Nigerian Governors Forum
(NGF) Chairman. The state chapter declared that they recognize Jang and
not Rotimi Amaechi, the Rivers State Governor, as the authentic NGF
Chairman.
In a statement by the state PDP's Publicty Secretary, Mr. Nwanosike Samuel, the PDP said “Amaechi did not win, Amaechi is an Agent of destruction working against the agenda of President Goodluck Jonathan’s Transformation Agenda and beside election was not concluded he went outside to address Press, that is a criminal act, Amaechi cannot come out and say he is the Chairman, the right Chairman is Jonah Jang, the authentic Chairman is Jonah Jang”.
