Facts About Boko Haram That Will Change Your Perception.

A few reasons why Boko Haram gained the upper hand over Nigeria and some facts about Boko Haram - By: Jasper Azuatalam - May 2, 2014.

1. The government misunderstood Boko Harram to be a Northern conspiracy against a South-South president. They forget that the first uprising was in 2009 when Yar'Adua was still president. It may be too late for us to wait to find out after a South-south president, when Boko Haram would not stop their attacks.

2. Boko Haram was underestimated by Nigeria and her government; many facts pointed to that and one of which is the attempted negotiation with the sect.

3. Our security men on the field are not well motivated to fight the sect and they do not trust the government to be void of complacency.

4. Corruption and insincerity on the part of the government in the fight against Boko Haram.

Facts that we must accept to begin an effective war against Boko Haram:
a. Boko Harram is a terror organization and one of the tactics of every terror organization is deceit. They trick their targets with false claims so they do not understand their true nature and origin, so the fight against them can either be impossible or difficult.

b. Terrorist organizations do not dialogue, though they may pretend to in an attempt to deceive their target.

c. Terrorists have only one goal and that is to cause terror. Their satisfaction is in killing, maiming, and causing pain to their target.

d. Terrorists have no religious or tribal loyalties. When they pretend to do, they only aim to deceive their target and gain an upper hand.

e. One of the weapons of terrorism is to cause disunity among their target and weaken their resistance.

f. The same way we have international NGOs and organizations who are investing money to make the world a better place is the same way we have international terrorists that are investing their money to make the world a bitter place and terrorize humans.

g. International terrorists are investing in Boko Harram and causing terror in Nigeria.

h. Boko Harram has declared war against Nigeria and the only way to stop them is to unite and fight back
we must diagnose our sickness and identify it before we get a cure. It is dangerous to have Typhoid fever and be treating malaria.

To an ordinary Southerner, Boko Haram is the creation of northern elites to make the Jonathan's administration ungovernable. To an ordinary Northerner, Boko Haram is the creation of the Jonathan-led government in order to decimate the population of northerners and to destroy their economy. But to Boko Haram there is no distinction between northerner and southerner or Muslim and Christians. Their goal is to cause terror and their target knows no such bounds.

Those who are asking the government for money to talk to Boko Haram over dialogue are just trying to take advantage of our pains to exploit the government and the people. There is nothing to talk about. Boko Haram is a terrorist group. The only thing we can do is to stop them.

No Country In The World Will Present Jonathan’s Type For re-Election–El-Rufai

Definitely no country with patriotic citizens will allow a man who has failed to protect millions of his citizens from terror,A man who believes corruption is not a problem yet it is responsible for the dilapidated facilities in our Education, health, military sectors. A man who can't secure the release of hundreds of young Nigerian girls form terror camps known to him and his clueless team#BringBackOurGirls Gej
Below is El-Rufai's take:

No president in the world with the kind of President Jonathan’s record in office would be presented for re-election by any other political party in the world because no country can survive a president with the kind of Jonathan’s record for two terms. But, like I have always said, the opposition cannot wish for a better PDP presidential candidate.

Politics: Akpabio A Loud-mouthed Gov. Paying The Price Of Loyalty

His names are Godswill Obot Akpabio. He is the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, South-South Nigeria. To many of his admirers, he is the golden governor, who has turned a once sedentary state into a wonderland of a sort. The land of beauty. The land of pride. The city that works for the people, and other Nigerians.

But, to his adversaries, the Akwa Ibom helmsman is the sweet-talking, 'loud-mouthed' governor, who never gets tired of advertising his achievements and dramatic turn-around of his state.

Femi Fani-kayode - A Word For Those That Call Me An Igbo Hater

Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, Former Minister
Those that call me a tribalist and an igbo-hater are simply misguided and ignorant. Perhaps they do not know the meaning of those words or the true import of their meaning. Those that know me well like you can confirm the fact that I am not a racist or a bigot and that I consider such sentiments as being unworthy of a man of class, good breeding and culture. I am however a firm believer in the propagation of truth and I, like you, appreciate the value and importance of history. Sadly many of our igbo brothers and sisters do not believe in that. History for them consists of only one thing-how other Nigerians have always marginalised them and treated them badly.

Still on JUNE 12: Two-party System Is The Best For Nigeria. Opinion!

The Chairman, Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on House Services and Special Duties, Ipoola Omisoore, has said that the multi-party system adopted by the nation was detrimental to its democracy.

Mr. Omisoore said in Lagos on Tuesday that a two-party system was best for the country.

Lagos State is preparing to mark the 20th anniversary of the June 12 1993 Presidential election, conducted under a two-party system.

The 1993 election was believed to have been won by the late Moshood Abiola of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), who contested against a candidate of the National Republican Convention (NRC).

Hon. Obahiagbon On Power Brawl Between Gov Amaechi and President Jonathan

This is so hilarious and in  fact, it is downright funny.

As it stands, after a very long silence, The Honourable has decided to speak about the political brouhaha going on in Rivers state,Hear him :

I am in perfect simulacrum with you Mr Governor that there is indeed no quarrel between you and Mr President but you won't deny the existence of a state of political roforofoism and the difference between the two is one of a tweedledum and tweedledee....

Would like hear the asseverations of my friends on the political malodorous saga that is putrescently cocooning Rivers State, just now and thus precipitously corralling it into an eschewable socio-politico asphyxia...

Buhari - I’m Ready To Step Down For Better Candidate.

Former Head of State and presidential candidate for the Congress for Progressive Change in the 2011 general election, Maj-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has said he is ready to step down as presidential candidate of the newly formed All Progressives Congress in the 2015 presidential election, if there is a formidable and better candidate.

He said he might contest the 2015 presidential election on the platform of the yet-to-be-registered APC, depending on what happened before the time.

Just How Did Asiwaju Tinubu Get This Powerful?

This topic is born out of curiosity and in search of knowledge about the man we all know as Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, former Governor of Lagos State, Nigeria and an elite leader of the Yoruba race. Mind you, I am no Tinubu fan neither do i share in common views of what most people hold and respect about him. I am just another Nigerian, a YORUBA man who, like other of my country men and women has grown weary about just how the man Tinubu worked his way up the ladder of elitism and pro-carnal savory on the clandestine order of the Nigerian polity.

I just watched a documentary on Yoruba politics now and couldn't help marveling and wondering how Tinubu became so powerful in Lagos, nay western Nigeria. Even OBJ would think twice before talking to him anyhow. EFCC dares not call his name anyhow.

The almighty PDP has been having a tough time penetrating Lagos which they have been evening because of Tinubu. AD died a miserable death as soon as Tinubu left. And we all know what will happen to ACN if Tinubu leaves. I don't know of any other politician with so much individual influence in any of the big political parties.

Please how did he do this?
Tinubu is kind of like a legend in Nigerian politics today because whether you like him or not, you just gotta respect (or fear him).

The answer to my quest might just be summed in the below points:

1. Tinubu is a smart chap. He understands the game of politics and plays it very well.

2. He's a visionary leader. His interest lies in building for tomorrow and not just for the day.

3. He's a Good manager of men and materials. That's evident from the way he managed Lagos finance (even without Federal allocation) as well as the calibre of people he has helped become Governors of the SW region.

4. He loves his people, chasing the killer-party from the SW is the best thing anyone could have done for SWesterners at the time..

5. The man knows POLITICS sir! No other politician in this country knows how to work the Nigerian system like him. Unknown to his supporters, Goodluck and Tinubu are very tight paddies because he knows how important Tinubu is to his 2015 ambition.

2. The man knows how to work the ethnicity card. He's created a party which serves a rallying point for Yoruba. (Though I can swear he doesn't believe in it himself) truth be told I haven't seen this level of intertwining of ideology, ethnocentrism and organization in ages.

3. The man exploited the gap left by an all powerful military rule and has been able to push the inevitable call for pure FEDERALISM. He has always had a knack for embracing the popular struggle of the day. I.e June 12 and now Regionalism
