The Hair Look: Global Exotic
There was not just one hair look at the Vivienne Westwood S/S 13 show
at Paris Fashion Week – there were several. The looks ranged from a
foppish masculine quiff to Baroque inspired bouffant to soft romantic
maidens and played on different hair textures and shapes.
The clothing collection with its climate revolution message drew inspiration from a range of influences from insects to art.
To achieve the looks Sam McKnight and his team combined hair styling
techniques both old and new. From braiding and setting the hair to
create a halo of volume, to using a conditioning masque as a multitasking pomade for a more masculine look, each unique style was tweaked to celebrate the individual personalities
of the girls.
Get the look – masculine quiff:
Always start with freshly washed and conditioned hair. Pantene Pro V
Aqua Light hair Shampoo and Conditioner provides the perfect base for
this look.
Apply an ample amount of Pantene Pro V Classic Ultra Strong Mousse to damp or dry hair. Blow dry hair away from the face.
Clip away the top section of hair leaving hair in place each side from the arch of the eyebrow downwards.
Spray Pantene Pro V Instant Damage Defence Conditioning Spray into
the two side sections and using a fine toothcomb to smooth out the hair
pull the
two side sections together and secure at the back of the head.
Release the top section of hair and blow dry using your fingers to lift the roots and give you even more volume.
Remove hair elastic at back of the head (the sides should remain in
place). Using the Pantene Pro V 2 Min Deep Repair Masque for Fine Hair
as a styling aide, apply to the hair with your fingers and rake through
to the ends to give a heavy textured effect.
Take the top section above the slick sides and twist into a pleat
forcing a quiff at the top of the head. Ensure the quiff is set in
place adding more Pantene Pro-V 2 Min Deep Repair Masque for Fine Hair
and pins as needed.
