My Take on the recent Mayhem at the Rivers House of assembly.

When somethings happen in this part of the world, awful things I mean; it is only natural to muse at why they did happen. Muse, by way of introspect and permusiveness at the originating factor of the events in perspective. An odd world we live in, we need not wait for time to tell. Its plain for all to see. And what I see should be what you see.

The recent show of shame in the Rivers state house assembly is a better testament to the far cry we have as a celebrated polity. Even in the world of animals, such abysmal behaviours are not allowed and trans-offenders are treated with high octane punishments. We are not animals, behaving to a lower standard should be an offence punishable by death. Yes, making a sane society is equal to writhing off the individuals with proven capacities to detract collective aspirations and goals towards achieving what the common goal seeks to make. The common goal of all should be pursued to full capacity and intent. All persons must act in right mind and thoughts. Not to do so is not to be deemed worthy of living in the society.

Where we find ourselves today is where we worked to be from yesterdays. That some individuals choose to act barbaric is a slight on our collective pursuit as a people. That, those 'selected' or elected to make and uphold laws and order for the people have now turned out to be law breakers and persons with murderous and homicidal tendencies tells a lot. Infact, it leaves more than enough to be desired. And don't ask me how we got ourselves to this low level. Each one of us share the blame. We are what we put forward to represent us. The leaders mirror a reflection of those they lead. We are Nigerians. We are you and I.
