A Look At Women Fashion Runway Clothing.

Women's clothing at fashion runway shows can be
very glamorous but also very curious. Sometimes
you wonder, would someone really wear that
outside? It seems like most of the clothes made for
fashion shows would be for celebrities or to wear as
costumes in actual films or live shows.

I don't think
people buy these articles of clothing to wear in their
daily lives.

Some runways shows feature a certain theme like
recyclable material or African animal prints. The
recyclable material show may show off materials
immitating recycled cans or bottles, bottle caps, trash
bags, fish nets, or chain links. You wonder if people
would actually wear this outside. Someone wearing
these clothes could be spotted as a homeless person.
The material doesn't look expensive but it probably
is.

African animal prints could be spots, stripes,
bones, crocodile skins, hides, and furs.
I think there have actually been runway shows where
the designer would dress the model up in fur, and
someone from the audience would throw paint onto
the model. It has been very controversial whether
real fur should be continued to be used as a fashion
item. Fur used to be expensive but very popular. Now
animal rights activists are very against the idea and
are trying as best they can to stop designers from
using fur in their clothing lines.

These are examples of more outrageous runway
shows. However, there are more normal ones as
made by Calvin Klein or Ralph Lauren. There clothes
lines tend to be more modest and trendy. I don't
think they would necessarily make a show on
recyclable material or African animal prints. Their
style is more conservative. The colors they choose
are more neutral and less flashy.

Runway shows have been more exposed to the public
on television, and not just to other designers and
journalists privately. Shows like "America's Next Top
Model" and "Project Runway" have become very
popular amongst the public. It is sort of exciting for
the public to see how judges of these shows make
their decisions, and just to see the clothing being
modeled. "Project Runway" is a very competitive
show where the designers work very hard to win top
designer at the end.

I think these runway shows expose more women's
clothing than men's clothing. Women's runway shows
seem to be more popular only because women are
probably more interested in clothing than men in
general. Tyra Banks and Heidi Klum, two popular
female celebrities, have made these shows popular
and attracted a lot of attention due to their famous
names. The competition, celebrities, fashion, and
music have all contributed to make these shows
popular and have probably drawn a lot of attention to
fashion runway shows in general.
Finally, while these television shows and fashion
runway shows attract a lot of public attention, I am
doubtful whether the public actually goes out to buy
any of these clothing items that they see on the
shows. Meanwhile, they are just a good source of
entertainment for us.

Joe Jonas' Appearance On Much Music's Live TV; An Interview.

The dreamy Joe Jonas made an appearance
yesterday (July 8) on Much Music's New.Music.Live TV
show promoting his debut solo album Fast Life.

Joe also sat down with British GQ to talk about
everything from fashion to workouts to music. Here
are some highlights:

You're wearing a lot more suits now.
I love a good fitted suit. England is known for men
who can wear good suits. Savile Row is unbelievable.
Simon Spurr makes some great stuff; he's one of my
favorite designers at the moment.

What was it like sitting on the front row at Calvin
Klein?

To experience what they can fit in seven minutes is
pretty amazing. The look of the night for me was the
suit with pixelated blocks on it. I loved the shoes with
the spongy soles. I told Italo, "if you're missing a pair
tomorrow, you'll know who took them.

What's your workout regime like?
I do 30 minutes on the bike, 30 minutes on the
treadmill, 30 minutes on the elliptical cross trainer
and 30 minutes in the sauna so two hours of just
sweating, all while wearing two T-shirts, a sweat suit -
which is like this garbage bag-type thing that just
makes you sweat like crazy – and then a hoodie on
top.

What can we expect from your album?
I wanted a more mature sound. I worked with Danga
and Rob Knox and Danga has worked with Britney,
Justin Timberlake, Madonna, Mary J Blige – you name
it and he's worked with them. There's some hip-hop,
dance and dubstep tracks in there.

What's your best hangover cure?
Pedialyte. It's pretty much like Gatorade to the max.
Coke is apparently the new thing for hangovers too
but usually I'd just say eating a massive breakfast. I go
to this place in LA called King's Road Cafe and have
their huevos rancheros which is an amazing fried
Mexican dish filled with eggs, beans and guacamole.
It's everything you need to get over a hangover.

The above are products of Christian Dior's impression at the Paris Falls 2011. You'd agree with me that Dior is at it again. The apparela speaks highly of his already stamped reputation. I think I like these...

Kim Kardashian Sets Lights up New Fashion trend: High-waisted Skirts.

Kim Kardashian is up at it again. Fresh off her Tweets on Twitter is a row of high-end fashion pics. She's up with some real eye-catching skirts. I just like her on them.
In her own words, "I've always loved high-waisted skirts! They are great
for curvier girls because they accentuate small
waists and balance out the top and bottom of the
body.
Same goes for high-waisted pants… I know they
have a reputation for looking like "mom jeans" but I
think the right high-waisted pants, worn with the
right shirt and shoes can look really sexy and
stylish!

Do you guys like to wear high-waisted skirts? Bet you do.

Sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen set to launch Stylemint.

Ashley Olsen was spotted leaving her
hotel Friday afternoon, the same day
StyleMint, her & MK's newest project,
went live. The venture is a members-
only shopping site that offers exclusive
access to limited edition t-shirts. I know
it doesn't sound like much, but the
shirts aren't something you'll find from
Fruit of the Loom - they're infamously
uber-soft and versatilely chic. Even if
you don't find any clothing you like, the
site offers behind-the-scenes video.

Finally The Bold and Beautiful gets a Fashion Makeover.

For the sound record, The Bold and Beautiful has been forced to call in the police — the
fashion police! The 24-year-old CBS
sudser, set against the world of haute
couture, just won its third best soap
Emmy in a row but, let's face it, the
show has never been a mover and
shaker when it comes to style. In fact,
it's always seemed a bit behind the
times. That's all changing thanks to
Colleen Bell. The L.A. style maven and
philanthropist — wed to B&B exec
producer Brad Bell — holds the title of
Director of Special Projects and is now
in charge of giving the soap a major
makeover.
"We really need to push the envelope,"
says Bell. "Brad and I would be
watching the show together and I'd see
what everyone was wearing and be
really bothered by it. B&B should be a
benchmark for fashion. People should
be tuning in going, 'I can't wait to see
what Hope wears today!' We want them
saying, 'Did you see Steffy rocking those
leather pants?' I saw a need and knew I
could fill it. We're overhauling the entire
wardrobe department and integrating
the clothes, hair and makeup so that
B&B is relevant and cool. Every
character, including the men, is getting
a distinct look."
Both of the show's rival fashion houses
— Forrester and Jackie M — will also
have a fresh and unique style. "When
we see the designers on the show —
whether it's Hope or Jackie or Ridge —
draping fabric on a mannequin I want
that fabric to look like something the
character would have chosen. Ridge's
designs must be different from Jackie's,
which must be different than the young
line created by Hope. Our fashion
shows will be don't-miss TV. B&B
shouldn't be following trends. We
should be setting them."
Bell kicked off her B&B campaign by
recruiting white-hot designerMonique
Lhuillier (Kristen Stewart, Taylor Swift,
Jennifer Lopez) to gown the runway
models onthe show's new opening
titles. She also talked leading lady
Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke) into that
new, shorter 'do that's been wining
raves from the fans. Bell handpicked
stylist Danielle King (Ally McBeal) to be
the soap's new wardrobe designer and
they joined forces for the July 5-6
wedding of Ridge (Ronn Moss) and
Taylor (Hunter Tylo). (He's outfitted by
Canali; she's in a white tux inspired by
Bianca Jagger's iconic look at her 1971
wedding to Mick.)
"America is increasingly fashion-savvy
due to all the red-carpet coverage and
reality shows like Project Runway,"
notes Bell. "Viewers can't be fooled.
What we hope to do is organize a
groundswell of awareness about B&B
and get people talking and blogging. A
lot of the changes we're making are big.
A lot of them are small. And it's all
happening without increasing our
budget for wardrobe. It might take a
while for people to really notice, I think,
but people will notice. I was at the
Gaultier fashion show in Paris last
January and was very inspired by the
runway models who were all sporting
these beautiful Mohawks. I would love
to do something that bold on The Bold
and the Beautiful!"
By the way, it's not like Bell was a
desperate housewife who needed
something to do here. This is one very
busy and accomplished lady. Last year,
Barack Obama himself appointed her to
the President's Advisory Committee on
the Arts for the John F. Kennedy Center
for The Performing Arts. She was
recently elected the group's chairman.
