Reserch Shows Woman risk breast-Cancer For Storing Phone In Bras

Let me start this update by first noting that there is no conclusive evidence that cell phones can cause bosom cancer. That being said, I would like to provide some recent information that adds to my concern regarding the possible link between placing cell phones in direct contact with the bosom and the risk of developing a bosom cancer.

In a previous article I reviewed the limited literature on the subject and presented two cases of young women who placed their cell phones in their bras for a number of years. Each woman developed multiple small bosom cancers directly below the area where the cell phone was placed on their bosom. In the past year I have learned of numerous similar cases including one male who placed his cell phone in his shirt pocket (he had no family history of bosom cancer).

Recently, I received an email from a mother whose 22 year old daughter was diagnosed with bosom cancer. The daughter had been storing her cell phone in her bra since she was 18 years old. She developed a lump directly below the spot where she placed her cell phone and a biopsy was positive for invasive bosom cancer. The mastectomy specimen showed multiple cancers below where the cell phone was placed. This young girl has no family history of bosom cancer and she has no other known risk factors. (For more information on this patient please see email below and the link to the family’s website).

Although there is no proof that prolonged cell phone contact with bosom skin produces an increase in cancer risk, I think there is sufficient reason for caution. First of all, the manufacturers state that cell phones should not be placed in direct contact with the skin. Also of note, is that younger women may be at greater risk than older women.

Odd World! Baby Rescued Alive From Toilet Pipe After Being Flushed (Photos)

A newborn Chinese baby was rescued from a toilet pipe after he was flushed away by his parents, state TV reports.

The tiny boy was found lodged in a sewage pipe — in a block of apartments in Jinhua, Zhejiang province — on Saturday afternoon after neighbors reported hearing crying. His placenta was still attached.

Firefighters sawed out an L-shaped section wide on Saturday afternoon after neighbors reported hearing crying. The baby was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors cut around him to pull out the abandoned infant.

The 2-day-old child — named Baby No. 59 from the number of his hospital incubator — was reported in stable condition at a nearby hospital.

A video of the two-hour rescue was broadcast widely on Chinese news programs and websites late Monday and Tuesday. News of the ordeal prompted an outpouring from strangers who came to the hospital with diapers, baby clothes, powdered milk and offers to adopt the child.

Despites the offers to adopt Baby No. 59, a doctor at thehospital said the boy would be handed over to social services if his parents do not claim him, Zhejiang News said.

Police are treating the case as an attempted homicide, and are looking for the mother and anyone else involvedin the incident.

The landlord of the building in Pujiang County told Zhejiang News that it was unlikely the birth took place in the toilet room because there was no evidence of blood and she was not aware of any recent pregnancies among her tenants.

Footnote:
I may not believe in destiny, but I know this child is destined to be a great person in the future. That's the only sensible explanation for his survival.

This is plain wickedness. Why not give him up for adoption or better still drop the child somewhere safe like a church or Budha temple where it can be picked up. I hope the perpetrators are caught.

Feature: Prof. Wole Soyinka On Buhari.

This promises to be a very long read, but it sure is worth the time taken to go through it.

WOLE SOYINKA ON BUHARI_________ _______________
This intervention has been provoked, not so
much by the ambitions of General Muhammadu Buhari to return
to power at the head of a democratic Nigeria, as by declarations
of support from directions that leave one totally dumbfounded. It
would appear that some, myself among them, had been
overcomplacent about the magnitude of an ambition that seemed
as preposterous as the late effort of General Ibrahim Babangida
to aspire yet again to the honour of presiding over a society that
truly seeks a democratic future.

What one had dismissed was a rash of illusions, brought about
by other political improbabilities that surround us, however, is
being given an air of plausibility by individuals and groupings to
which one had earlier attributed a sense of relevance of historic
actualities. Recently, I published an article in the media,
invoking the possible recourse to psychiatric explanation for
some of the incongruities in conduct within national leadership.
Now, to tell the truth, I have begun to seriously address the issue
of which section of society requires the services of a
psychiatrist.

It Sucks! Long Distance Relationships: Just Say No To Inhumane/Extreme The Torture.

My first questions to anyone in a long-distance relationship are some of the following: are you a masochist? Why do you like pain? Why are you doing this to yourself? Are you insane? How could anyone pick a Monday night of Face-Timing with someone who lives four hours away over Monday night football and $2 schooners? These are things I just don’t understand.

People give all kinds of justifications for being involved in LDRs, and we all know someone who is in one and says it’s totally worth it, they’re super in love, blah blah, blah. Come on, you’re not fooling anyone. We all know you’re actually miserable and it’s slowly killing you.

Blog Feature: Nasir El-Rufai and his two daughters, By Femi Fani-Kayode.

The graduate unemployment rate in Nigeria is 80 per cent yet these young people that are abusing and mocking my friend and brother, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, the former Minister of FCT, for saying that he has two daughters that have masters degrees but who cannot find jobs do not seem to appreciate the gravity of their own situation or understand the point that he was trying to make.

Nasir El-Rufai was simply speaking up for the very youths and jobless graduates that are now mocking and insulting him because of his comment. I assure you that his daughters will never starve and they can get jobs anywhere in the world or even end up working in any of his own numerous companies and business concerns if they so choose. He was only trying to use their plight as an example of the sad condition that Nigeria has found herself in where only two out of every ten graduates can find jobs.

This write up was written by Mekaboy

For the guys that are crazy about marrying virgins, I wish to let you know that 90% of $arried women that have an affair outside marriage, were married as virgins. This is according to my research.

Human beings are adventurous by nature, we like to explore. Virgins face the highest level of temptation when married.

The question keeps coming up, is there something different out there? Is this the only colour of manhood out there? Is this the only size? Are they all like this? Do all men do it like this?

These question keep hovering over the minds of virgin wives. They are like to try and find out one day.

Lagos Bus Preacher Beaten To Coma After Condoms Fall From His Bible

More like a Nollywood script, eh? Well, read on and let's find out what you think.

A bus preacher was almost lynched on Saturday morning at Toyota Bus stop, in front of the popular Ladipo Spare parts market, when some condoms allegedly fell out of his bible as he preached the ‘Word of God’.

DailyPost gathered that the self acclaimed Man of God was dragged out of the commercial bus and beaten into a pulp before he was rescued by some policemen.

According to information made available to DailyPost, the Pastor had embarked on his journey from Apapa and proceeded to preach to the people on the bus, using very strong words like “If you wear trouser you’ll go to hell! The Devil invented Make up! Weave-on is from Marine Kingdom! If you have pre-marital sex you will burn in hell and your skin will peel!”

Re: Jonathan's Name Has Brought Good-Luck To Nigeria

President Goodluck Jonathan on Saturday said despite the security
challenges in parts of the country, his first name had brought some
good luck to Nigeria.

Jonathan said this while granting an interview to a 10-year-old
Nigerian girl based in California, Miss Zuriel Oduwole, on the
sideline of the ongoing 21st ordinary session of the Assembly of Heads
of State and Government of the Africa Union holding in Addis Ababa,
Ethiopia.

Oduwole who was said to have earlier interviewed some other African
leaders is working on a documentary on the union's 50 years of
existence.

She had sought to know from Jonathan how much good luck his first name
had brought to the country under his leadership.

Jonathan said religion and traditional societies attached some values to names.

This, he said, was why parents select good names for their children.

He said, "Traditional societies attach some values to names. That is
why people select good names for their children.

"In the scriptures sometimes, when God sends you on some special
assignment, He could even direct, 'change the name of this child from
this to that.'

"But the name in itself does not make much difference because even
from my village, there is one of my peers that also answers Goodluck.
Another one that is a little older than me answers Lucky from my small
village and I didn't see the good luck and lucky in them.

"In terms of bringing my name to bear in Nigerian affairs, within this
period, we have our challenges. Of course, you are aware that we have
our security challenges. But in spite of the security challenges, the
country is moving on. I will say yes, it brought some good luck to the
country."

On the legacy he would want to leave behind at the expiration of his
tenure, Jonathan said he would like to be remembered for sanitising
the nation's electoral system as well as fixing the power poor and
security challenges.

"If we can stabilise the electoral process, sanitise the political
environment, then we make sure that we have power in this country and
of course, security, every other things will take off on its own," the
President said.

Jonathan said he would also like the sanitation going on in the
electoral system to be internalised in all sectors of the country.

He said, "People should be allowed to decide who governs them, who
represents them at the parliament, who runs their affair at the local
government level; the country never had that opportunity and the elite
were no longer interested even in voting.

"Democracy was almost left floating in the hands of people who
ordinarily have no place there. So, we are sanitising the electoral
process. Now, Nigerians can select who they want to be their
President, who they want to be their governor, who they want to be
their senator, who they want to be their House of Representatives
member or even their state House of Assembly member or even chairman
of their council.

"We are doing that and I want that to be internalised in all the ways
we do things. I want people to remember me for that."

Jonathan also talked of his desire to put the nation on a better stead
in the area of Information Technology.

He said with technological development, power could be stabilised and
then, micro, small and medium scale enterprises would be encouraged.

These, he added, are the areas that create jobs for the people,
improve the economy and reduce poverty to the barest minimum.

Also, the President said for African countries to come out of the
woods and take their rightful positions among the comity of nations,
their leaders must deepen democracy by avoiding abuse of power and
impunity.

Remark:
I think Mr president is only trying to be funny, shouldn't be taken serious.

I'm very sure this president forced nigerians into believing that
there is a different meaning to 'goodluck' than what it means
literally.

This buffer(gej) shld keep shut cos his name has brought balagan ,
pandemonium, cluelessness excrescence, cataclysmic policies, homogous
party style to this country. Weakness is his idiosyncracy,
tough-talking is his consangnuity and he's simplectic in relationship
with people who wld stop at nothin to destroy this country in the name
of showing support to him and pdp .

How more 'goodluck' can he be to Nigeria....

Rivers PDP Congratulate Jang, Amaechi Didnt Win NGF Chairmanship.

In what may be termed as the deepest cut of all, the Rivers State chapter of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) has congratulated Plateau State Governor, Jonah Jang, in his victory as the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF) Chairman. The state chapter declared that they recognize Jang and not Rotimi Amaechi, the Rivers State Governor, as the authentic NGF Chairman.

In a statement by the state PDP's Publicty Secretary, Mr. Nwanosike Samuel, the PDP said “Amaechi did not win, Amaechi is an Agent of destruction working against the agenda of President Goodluck Jonathan’s Transformation Agenda and beside election was not concluded he went outside to address Press, that is a criminal act, Amaechi cannot come out and say he is the Chairman, the right Chairman is Jonah Jang, the authentic Chairman is Jonah Jang”.

Fraud Indictment Hit Liberty Reserve Owners, Company Shut Down.

Yesterday, Arthur Budovsky Belanchuk was arrested under charges of financial crimes during worldwide investigation. He is the founder and owner of Liberty Reserve, one of the most popular electronic currencies online.

This arrest is a huge blow for many businesses and individuals around the world. The website and currency system is currently offline, suggesting a government seize. A government seize of the funds could result in many customers of Liberty Reserve to lose huge sums of money.

The logic in this arrest seems a bit flawed. If we are to use this logic with all currencies, most every currency would be shut down. With the potential loss of Liberty Reserve, criminals will simply move to different e-currencies. It's just unfortunate that, if legitimate, Budovsky will face criminal charges for the actions of others.

Hopefully a fair trial is put into effect and legitimate customers of Liberty Reserve do not lose their funds.

Footnotes:
It will be hard to tell between legit and non-legit payments so everything could be seized by the Feds. But legally they are entitled to let everyone cashout their money but not sure if they will since LR was mostly used for illegal payments.

Realest Deal: 18ft Python Killed In Florida (Pics)

A Miami man briefly wrestled with and ultimately used a knife to kill a Burmese python measuring 18 feet, 8 inches.

That sets a state record for pythons captured or killed in the wild. The previous record measured 17 feet, 7 inches.

Jason Leon was not hunting pythons but, while driving late at night recently in southeast Miami-Dade County, he and a friend spotted about 3 feet of snake protruding from the brush.
Leon applied the brakes, climbed out of the car, grabbed the visible portion of the snake, and began hauling it onto the road.

The giant constrictor responded by trying to wrap its body around one of Leon’s legs, but he was able to dispatch the reptile with a knife.

Burmese pythons are native to grassy marshes of Southeast Asia and can grow to about 23 feet and weigh up to about 200 pounds.
In Florida, where they’ve been released as pets and escaped from wildlife facilities, there are thousands of them, mostly within the Everglades ecosystem.

As such a large and voracious invasive species, they’re a threat to native wildlife. The state would like to eradicate them, if that were possible.

Leon, meanwhile, is being praised.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission issued a news release, in which exotic species specialist Kristen Sommers stated:

“The FWC is grateful to him for both safety removing such a large Burmese python and for reporting its capture…With the help of people like Mr. Leon and our ongoing partnerships with other agencies, the FWC is advancing what we know about Burmese pythons in Florida.”

Leon, who said he once owned Burmese pythons and has experience handling the nonpoisonous snakes, reported the capture via a hotline used for reporting exotic species.

The python was delivered to the University of Florida’s Fort Lauderdale Research and Education Center where it was measured and a necropsy was performed.

Breaking: In Port-Harcourt, Multi-billion Naira ‘Odili Bridge’ Collapses.

The Bridge constructed by the former governor leaves Rivers State in heavy traffic. Thousands of commuters in Port Harcourt, Rivers state, endured a second day of horrendous traffic gridlock after a barely seven-year old overpass, constructed by the administration of indicted former governor, Peter Odili, caved in on Sunday. Cars tailed into several kilometers, around the Aba road expressway area, on Monday
snaking their ways through mandatory diversions occasioned by the collapse of the Airforce junction bridge.

There were no reports of casualties, residents of the city said on Monday. But the failed facility immediately sparked calls for the arrest of the builders, Bulletin Construction Company, and rekindled a national outrage that has haunted Mr. Odili’s post-office life, years after he was indicted for fraud by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

At Long Last, Nigeria Senate Approves State Of Emergency

The Senate on Tuesday approved the State of Emergency declared by President Goodluck Jonathan in Adamawa, Borno, and Yobe States.

The 100 senators present unanimously approved the president’s declaration at a session of the whole house.

The Senate had earlier gone for closed door session to debate the matter. At the end of the closed door session, the committee of the whole Senate unanimously approved Mr. Jonathan’s declaration; with none of the senators present opposing it.

Read details here: http://premiumtimesng.com/news/135300-breaking-news-nigerian-senate-approves-state-of-emergency.html

Remarks:
The situation of things in Nigeria has become so scary. The senators may be afraid of the BH menace and its consequences on the polity. Hence any action other than what the did may put them at loggerheads with the populace.
It is a good move though.

Cry Baby 'Moanrihno' Gets Served The Humble Pie On A Sack Plate- Barca Fan.

Monday evening it was, the birthday of club darling and Spain's captain, Iker Casilas; the President of Real Madrid CF at a press conference announced the parting of ways with erstwhile coach Jose Mourhino after his 3 year stint with the club.

One thing is clear, In football a coach is as good as his most recent result. Thats why Mancini was sacked and not evaluated based on winning the league and FA cup in prior season.

This season Mourinho finished 13points behind
league leaders and trophyless too.

From me to him, I'll say let him go back to the EPL where he can boss them around and tag him the special one. In Spain it would be remembered how he was humiliated and whining how they dont love him. The biggest loss of his career was in Spain. First home loss of his career was in Spain.

Its only chelsea fans that believes he is a special
one! Special my foot! He's just an arrogant manager that manages to inflict supporters of any club he goes to with arrogance! He did it with chelsea, and then transferred it to madrid, turning the beautiful El-classico to a game of wrestling, karate and takwaendo!

I'm glad he succeeded in soiling his record at
madrid and been forced to eat the humble pie.
I pity for chelsea. He's going to spoil the beautiful
football they've adopted for some time now, moving cohesively with the ball, building an attack and troubling the defense. Now, its going to be a kick- and-follow pattern which is only going to favor Essien, Lampard and Mikel; I pity the likes of Hazard, Mata and Oscar that moves with the ball. And for Torres, you're gone! Ba is likely to adopt to Jose's style than Torres.

Mourinho made El Classico lose its class and turned it to a diving and fighting match unlike the spectacle we are used to seeing.

Some might argue and disagree that he failed at Madrid. He is just a perfect example of an ideal coach who take technical decisons with considering any player or group of players too big. It's a pity that Barca are already declining this time and that might be the only safing grace for Madrid next season and beyond. Not many coach could challenge the brilliance and wide popularity of Barca like Mou.

If he had not choosen to be petty and pick issues
with every body from the media to his key players, fans and finally employers maybe he would have had some sucess. I think arrogance will be his undoing in life.

Mourinho was fully loaded with cash (far more than 15 La Liga teams budgets put together) to shop for the best of players, yet he could only struggle to win 2 major domesric cups and 1 minor one! It is now crystal clear that Premiership is inferior to La Liga by all standard! Mourinho must have learnt one thing bitterly - don't mess with Spanish Press or you get messed up! Del Bosque achieved more than Mourinho with a less star-studded squad between 2000-2002!

Blasphemy?!! Kanye West Titles 6th Album "Yeezus". Sounds Like "Jesus"

I got wind of US rapper, Kanye West naming his upcoming album 'Yeesus', more like an inference from his name and the alias he's been associated with, which is 'Ye'. A lot of reactions has trailed the announcement almost expectedly, with some claiming its a blasphemy. Below is a reaction from someone:

"I really dont know how far these rappers are willing to go with blasphemy, they say its just showbiz but i beleive its way more than that
read."

Well, I see nothing wrong here or am I missing the point? Blasphemy to whom and how? I get the feeling you'd want tosay Jesus but there are a lot of latinos bearing the name Jesus. Are they blaspheming against your 'Son of God' as well. Give it a rest abeg, ain't worth the stress.

Thoughts Of A Predicate Thinker [Vol I: Chapter I: Subsection G]

[This marks the beginning to my dialectic series on this blog. The dialectics will consist of interplay of ideas on topical issues by two fictional characters: Jangbalajugbu (Jugbu is an alias, for the sake of this work) and Dabiri. Komolafe will double as the moderator and convener.] Jugbu on the one hand represents most views about issues as presented in the dialectics, while Dabiri represents my thoughts and opinions on them.

Dialectics On Morality.

Komolafe: Hello and welcome to the symposium today on Morality and other issues that border on ethics. We are here to hear out the views of two staunch minds on the topic of discuss; Morality. What is morality? Morality, though objective on a seeming sense, can pose a subjective definition when left alone to roam on its own ramification. Morality brings in a lot of issues that, it seems impossible to get done with on a simple platform, like we shall be having today. But it is my joy to announce to you, and also introduce our correspondents for today's symposium, trusting that they will do justice to the topic on ground.

Now, join me to welcome on board, Jangbalajugbu.***** Jangbalajugbu is a pro-populist on this issue. He has resounding claims and counter supports to the issue on morality.

Next is Dabiri. Dabiri, a protagonist and opposition to rules and normative on morality. He has his superlatives and we hope to hear from him.

I think she has a fair point there. Woman should be expressive of their body and own up to the full control of their sexuality. And for the records, she has a gorgeous body.

Situation Report: Army Blockades Boko Haram Base

Move comes amid major offensive in three northeastern states against group seeking to create Islamic state.

Nigerian soldiers have blocked roads out of a key northeastern city to deprive Boko Haram fighters of supplies in remote towns they control, the army has said.

The military said on Sunday that its offensive against the group, which followed a declaration of a state of emergency in three northeastern states, was aimed at re-establishing Nigeria's "territorial integrity".

The assault on Boko Haram, which has said it wants to create an Islamic state, included air strikes on strongholds in remote parts of northeastern Borno state, and has spread to the state capital Maiduguri, the fighters' traditional home base.

"The Nigerian Disease" - Prof. Wole Soyinka

"Nigerian disease: Nigerians need to be purged of a certain kind of arrogance of expectations, of demand, of self-attribution, of a spurious sense and assertion of entitlement. It goes beyond art and literature. It covers all aspects of interaction with others. Wherever you witness a case of 'It's MINE, and no other's', 'it's OURS, not theirs', at various levels of vicarious ownership, such aggressive voices, ninety percent of the time, are bound to be Nigerians. This is a syndrome I have had cause to confront defensively with hundreds of Africans and non-Africans. It is what plagues Nigeria at the moment – it's MY/OUR turn to rule, and if I/WE cannot, we shall lay waste the terrain. Truth is, predictably, part of the collateral damage on that terrain."

- Prof. Wole Soyinka

Remark; It's no fault of the people but the system and he made that known in his last sentence. What do you expect from a system that encourages federal character. It makes people to be naturally inclined to support their kind.

Army Pose 24-hr Curfew Imposed On Parts Of Maiduguri

Nigeria’s military on Saturday imposed a round-the-clock curfew in parts of Maiduguri, the home base of Boko Haram Islamists, as a massive offensive against the insurgents presses on across the region.

“In order to sustain special operations in the face of recent Boko Haram attacks, (a) 24-hour curfew is hereby imposed in the following wards” of Maiduguri, a military statement said, listing 12 neighbourhoods considered Boko Haram strongholds.

http://www.france24.com/en/20130518-nigeria-imposes-24-hour-curfew-restive-northern-city

Remark:
Indeed, continuous luck is what i wish the soldiers who are putting their lives on the line to remedy this situation. I just hope and pray that innocent civilians are kept outta harms way. 24hrs curfew is no joke, more especially for the poor who feed from hand to mouth. I witnessed a dusk to dawn curfew few years back in my home town in Kogi, and i must say, the experience was'nt sweet at all. But if that is what is needed to restore peace and civil order, so be it.

Imo Pastor Prescibes Indian Hemp For Followers, Claims It Fosters 'Sober Reflection'

General overseer of Divine Justice Church, Owerri, Imo State, Pastor Clement Ezeigbo, who is currently cooling his heels in the police Anti Kidnap Unit of the state police command, told the police: “I don’t know anything about kidnapping but I am the owner of the Indian hemp (Igbo) but the good thing is that I don’t smoke it but I use it to prepare my food. Ienjoy eating food prepared with Indian hemp.”

I don’t think there is anything wrong when you use Indian hemp to prepare your food; it gives inspiration and it makes one have sober reflection and that is why I recommend it to my Church members. I use to preach to my members against smoking it but I encourage them to cook their food with hemp. “Some of my members do prepare some delicacies with it, which they serve me. I love Indian hemp because after eating Indian hemp, it gives me inspiration, then when I mount the pulpit, you will notice the efficacy of hemp.” Explaining what brought him to the police, he told CrimeWatch that “on the fateful day, I was in my Church, praying when the police stormed the place, claiming they were looking for some kidnappers, who used to hide their victims near my Church. I told them that I was not aware of the hideouts of kidnappers. You see, it was while searching my Church that they saw the Indian hemp. Well, I did not deny ownership of the hemp, it belongs to me; I love it.”

Fresh Facts Emerge That Nigerians have spent N60bn on bullet proof vehicles in five years.

This is quite alarming just to say the least. Fresh facts emerge that, Nigeria has taken over from Iraq, Afghanistan and Latin American countries as the world’s biggest importer of bullet proof (armoured) vehicles. It is estimated that about 30 percent of customers for armoured vehicles worldwide come from Nigeria.

In the last few years, manufacturers of armoured vehicles have exported an estimated 800 to 900 units to Nigeria, at the cost of more than N60 billion.

This was made known to BusinessDay during the launch of the Land Rover Defender (AVM) recently in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania. The British car maker said it will provide maintenance training for the Nigerian Defence forces or any institution that imports more than 200 units of Land Rover Defender Armoured Vehicle Modifier (AVM) vehicles.

Survey Reveals Nigeria Among World's Most Racist Countries.

When two Swedish economists set out to examine whether economic freedom made people any more or less racist, they knew how they would gauge economic freedom, but they needed to find a way to measure a country's level of racial tolerance.

So they turned to something called the World Values Survey, which has been measuring global attitudes and opinions for decades.

Among the dozens of questions that World Values asks, the Swedish economists found one that, they believe, could be a pretty good indicator of tolerance for other races. The survey asked respondents in more than 80 different countries to identify kinds of people they would not want as neighbors. Some respondents, picking from a list, chose "people of a different race." The more frequently that people in a given country say they don't want neighbors from other races, the economists reasoned, the less racially tolerant you couldcall that society. (The study concluded that economic freedom had no correlation with racial tolerance, but it does appear to correlate with tolerance toward homosexuals.)

Prime check:
This did not come as a surprise to me when you think of the hate spewed glibly on a steady basis by Nigerians towards fellow Nigerians in the name of tribal solidarity in a a nation where the demographics is skewed towards the University educated.

Also towards other Africans, but you won't notice the Xenophobia seeing that Nigerians are the ones that emigrate to other African countries, but we know when looking at the past that the Xenophobia is there.

Come 2014, 'Jack Bauer' Returns With TV Thriller '24'

Emmy-winning television thriller "24" will return in the summer 2014 with its lead star, Kiefer Sutherland, after a four-year hiatus, Fox network said on Monday.

"24: Live Another Day" brings back Sutherland as counter-terrorism agent Jack Bauer in the series that follows his race against the clock to foil presidential assassination attempts and chemical weapons attacks.

The new 12-episode mini-series will represent 24 hours in Bauer's life, following the same real-time format that became the series' trademark.

"The response to '24' is unlike anything I have ever experienced as an actor before," Sutherland said in a statement. "To have the chance to reunite with the character, Jack Bauer, is like finding a lost friend."

The series, which originally ran for eight seasons between 2001 and 2010, won an Emmy award for Outstanding Drama Series in 2006, and Sutherland won an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series in the same year.

Opposition Act: ACN Condemns and Reject President Jonathan Declaration of State of Emergency

…Asks National Assembly to reject it

The Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) has described the declaration of a state of emergency in Adamawa, Borno and Yobe States by President Goodluck Jonathan as lacking in original thinking, and therefore asked the National Assembly to reject it.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Wednesday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said if the use of force was capable of ending the Boko Haram crisis, it would have ended a long time ago.

RIM Announces BlackBerry Q5 For Emerging Markets.

The start of the BlackBerry Live 2013 annual conference today in Orlando, USA, saw the announcement of the BlackBerry Q5 - a QWERTY device for emerging markets.

The Blackberry Q5 revolves around a 3.1-inch touchscreen and one of BlackBerry's classic physical QWERTY keyboards, which they are so proud of. The screen has an unusual resolution of 720 x 720px - the same as on the Q10, but this time it's an LCD unit. Inside the BlackBerry Q5 there's a dual-core 1.2Ghz CPU and 8 gigs worth of storage. There's a microSD slot to expand that, but the battery is not removable.

The new BlackBerry Q5 will be available in selected markets in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia (including the Asia Pacific region), and Latin America, with availability beginning in July. The smartphone will be offered in black, white, red and pink.

Another announcement that came from the today's keynote is that the BlackBerry 10.1 update is now ready to seed to the BlackBerry Z10 (later this month in the US). Not only that, but starting today, Skype will be available to all users who update their Z10s to v10.1.
