Wishing Halloween was year-round.

Guest post written by Alyssa Martin

I used to always ask my mom when Halloween was going to finally happen when I was a little girl. I guess that I didn't really have any concept of time yet, but I at least knew that I really enjoyed dressing up in a costume and eating lots of candy. Well, not much has changed now except I can buy my own candy and I don't have to worry about going around from door to door just to get some candy.
Even though I really wish that I could celebrate Halloween year-round, I know that I can't. SO I really make the best of it while I can. I was online looking up some last-minute Halloween decorating tips to make sure the inside of my house is as decorated as the outside for my upcoming party, when I came across some info on internet service providers. After I looked through it a little bit, I decided to change over my home internet service ot one of those providers.
It ends up that I did come up with some really great decorating ideas inside in the areas where my party guests are going to be milling about. i want to give them the complete job experience.

Jimmy Choo shoe queen Tamara Mellon Leaves Fans Hanging?

Jimmy Choo's co-founder Tamara Mellon is finally walking away from her creation. Now fashion industry experts wonder if she can bring success as well as her sparkle to a new enterprise.

As Tamara Mellon strutted away from the Jimmy Choo shoe empire last week, the predictions began as to what she will do next.
Industry reports suggest that she is working on an eponymous luxury lifestyle brand. Mellon herself is keeping schtum, because she is officially a Choo employee until the end of the year.
In an interview last week, she enigmatically said: "Anyone who knows me knows there will be a new venture afoot; this is not the end. My passion is creating things, and I have a big vision."
In the 15 years since she started the footwear brand with Hackney cobbler Jimmy Choo, the shoes and Mellon have gone global. At the last count, sales were £150m and, thanks to her, its high heels are now a red-carpet staple for A-list stars such as Elle Macpherson, Cameron Diaz and Gwyneth Paltrow.
Mellon's personal stock has also rocketed as she straddled the business pages and gossip columns with revealing photo shoots — in one wearing only a strategically placed cat and a pair of her stilettos. She has had a roll call of famous boyfriends, including Hollywood actor Christian Slater, and played a role in showbusiness legal battles.
Brand experts think "brand Mellon" has sufficient clout to launch more than a clothing line, suggesting she could even put her surname – albeit one retained from her failed marriage to US banking heir Matthew Mellon — to an upmarket hotel or restaurant.
"It is very difficult to start something from scratch but Jimmy Choo has given enough cachet to her own name to make a success of it," says Graham Hales, chief executive of brand consultancy Interbrand. "Tom Ford has been able to do all sorts of things since he left Gucci because he is seen as being the artistic credibility behind the brand."
With a personal fortune of £150m, finding the cash to finance her next venture is unlikely to be a problem. The entrepreneur has revealed her inbox had been "flooded" with emails from people who want to work with her since the resignation became public knowledge.
Mellon has said she was a "no-hoper" at her expensive boarding school. She attended the same Swiss finishing school as Princess Diana and her early career included stints in PR and as a fashion assistant on Vogue,
She started the company with Jimmy Choo in 1996 with a £150,000 loan from her late father Tommy Yeardye, a successful businessman who co-founded the Vidal Sassoon hair products empire.
Choo sold up in 2001 but Mellon stayed on for a ride that has seen the business change hands four times, each time for an ever larger sum.
That process culminated in this May's sale to Labelux, the luxury goods group backed by Germany's billionaire Reimann family, for £500m – nearly three times the sum paid by the firm's private equity owners four years ago. Mellon continued to serve as chief creative officer but no longer had any financial interest in the group following the acquisition.
Her business success was recognised last year, when the government enlisted the 44-year-old to be one the UK's business ambassadors.
Her appointment, together with that of handbag designer Anya Hindmarch and Burberry chief executive Angela Ahrendts, saw her labelled a "fashbassador" by the women's magazine Grazia.
Neil Clifford, chief executive of Kurt Geiger, the shoe group which works closely with Jimmy Choo in high-end department stores such as Harrods, credits both Mellon and chief executive Joshua Schulman — who is also leaving — for the brand's success: "Tamara instinctively understood the Jimmy Choo customer, because she is that customer; Joshua was the business brain. Together, it was the right mix of art and science.
"The Jimmy Choo product is genuinely fabulous in terms of quality and style and is made in the best factories in Italy. They will both be missed."
Few would question Mellon's business nose. Choo sales took off after she targeted high-profile events such as the Oscars to get the brand on Hollywood's radar, offering to fit out celebrities for the awards ceremony.
The brand's arrival was confirmed when Carrie Bradshaw, Sarah Jessica Parker's character in the TV show Sex and the City, revealed it was her favourite shoe store.
Like her customers, Mellon has a sense of the dramatic. Four years ago, her ex-husband was acquitted of hiring private investigators to hack into her computer during their divorce and the court case gave a glimpse into the couple's gilded but dysfunctional life, together with parts of the trial likened to a scene from Dallas or Dynasty. For her day in court, Mellon wore a show-stopping outfit with £2,000 four-inch, crocodile-skin Jimmy Choos.
Mellon has become synonymous with the Jimmy Choo brand and this year was even featured falling out of a dress in a steamy advert for its new perfume. Significantly, she is thought to retain the rights to use her own name, which means that unlike designers such as Jil Sander and Roland Mouret, who left the companies they created along with the rights to the brand name, she is free to put it to something else.
The hard part, brand experts say, will be striking gold twice as many entrepreneurs struggle to repeat their initial success. "Her black book must be incredible," says PR consultant Mark Borkowski, but he warns the stakes are high: "If she gets it wrong, people won't look at her in the same way and it could all start to unravel."
Luxury goods companies increasingly bill themselves as "lifestyle" brands, which is code for dressing customers from head to toe in expensive clobber before moving on to their homes. A glimpse at the kind of products Mellon might endorse if she goes down that route was revealed in a recent photo shoot of her New York apartment.
One shot of her living room has Mellon, in her signature stilletos, reclining on a cream leather sofa under six giant pictures of coiled snakes. The effect is completed by a leopardskin rug and a takeaway from McDonald's.
With Mellon keeping her head down, for the time being at least, she is keeping her followers guessing.
She bowed out from Jimmy Choo on Twitter, thanking her followers for their support but with a tantalising: "I will keep you posted."

People Can Have a Clean-cut passion for fashion.

This is a guest post; http://www.chinadaily.com.cn

A janitor's zeal for style trends has made her an online icon. Han Bingbin reports.
Rong Deli couldn't help but interrupt the fashion magazine's photo shoot to interject her opinion that the models' color schemes clashed.
This startled the photographer, who wondered just who this impeccably dressed and remarkably vocal woman was. He was even more surprised when Rong identified herself: "I'm the cleaning lady."
He immediately trained his lens on her and later posted the photos on his micro blog. They were reposted nearly 5,400 times within a week. This is how the "Fashion Cleaner Sister De" became an online style icon.
Media rushed to snap shots of Rong at work. A particularly well-known shot is of her wiping off a table while clad in a long white Chiffon dress.

Rong Deli has worked as a cleaner at a fashion magazine for seven years and has become an unlikely media icon. Photos by Zou Hong / China Daily

Suspicion soon arose that Rong contrived the events leading up to her celebrity as a publicity stunt to land a better job.
She shrugs off the criticism.
"I like this work," the 48-year-old says.
"I'm retiring in a year, anyway. If I look down on the job of a cleaner, wouldn't that mean I despise myself?"
She pauses, busts into laughter and asks, "Is it foolish for me to think so?"
Rong started working as a janitor at the magazine seven years ago, after 22 years as a bookkeeper at a State-run textile mill - a stint that ended when the factory was privatized and relocated to the suburbs.
While many of the magazine's other cleaners have quit over the years, Rong says she stayed because she enjoys working alongside optimistic young people and remains passionate about fashion.
Rong had hoped to become a doctor after a childhood pervaded by illness, but her science scores were too low. She studied Japanese after getting married but lost patience with it.
However, her adoration of fashion has persisted through the decades. She kept tabs on foreign trends via Hollywood and Japanese films as a young woman and continues to monitor the annual Paris and Milan fashion weeks on TV.
Rong can recite the history of fashion magazines' evolution since the 1970s and is glued to the Chinese fashion shows proliferating on TV.
She recalls incorporating fashion trends into the clothing she made for herself in the 1980s. Because she didn't know how to take measurements, she dissected an old dress and replicated its proportions.
She is happy to see the trends come full circle, so she can dig a jumpsuit she sewed decades ago out of the back of her closet.
After her seamstress period, she regularly perused shopping malls and back street boutiques to take the temperature of what was hot in Chinese fashion.

She's now learning computer skills to take her searches online.
"I don't like using computers, but clothes are cheaper online," she says, showing a handbag she insists is genuine leather that she bought for 200 yuan ($32) on the Web.
Rong never wears the same outfit in summer and never twice in the same week during winter.
The cleaner refuses to reveal how much she spends on clothes but says her income determines the price.
"If you gave me a Chanel outfit, I wouldn't even know how to wear it," she says.
"I dress to be happy - not to show off. I appreciate my husband giving me so much leeway. We're not rich, but we are happy."
Rong hopes others can learn from her philosophy of not comparing oneself to others.
"There's a reason some people earn more than you," she says.
"Either you haven't worked as hard or seized as many opportunities. If you don't grab every chance that presents itself, you have to live with an open attitude. And you must have a dream."
Her goal is to open a clothing shop selling her designs.
"It's just a dream. But who doesn't have a dream? I can realize my vision if I win 5 million yuan in the lottery - actually, 1 million is enough," she says, laughing.
"But having a good dream means living a good life. It doesn't matter if it comes true."

Who's the Style Influencer of the Year?

Nicole Richie has been named Style Influencer of the Year at the Accesories Council Excellence (ACE) Awards. The ceremony took place on Monday, November 7 in New York, with attendees including models Agyness Deyn and Petra Nemcova, and designers such as Christian Louboutin and Diane von Furstenberg.

Taking place annually, America's ACE Awards were created in 1996 to credit those who have raised awareness of the accessories industry, with retailers, fashion press and the Accessories Council Board of Directors selecting honorees.

Beginning her career as a reality TV star alongside socialite Paris Hilton in The Simple Life, Nicole is one of numerous television personalities including Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port to venture into the design arena.

Debuting in 2008, Richie's House of Harlow 1960 jewelry line was followed by the womenswear line Winter Kate last year.

Both collections are available internationally in department stores including America's Bergdorf Goodman and Britain's Selfridges. House of Harlow 1960 can also be purchased online from across the globe.

Her success proves that celebrity fashion lines can gain credibility in the fashion industry which can sometimes be reluctant to embrace such stars.

Another such case is former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham. Beckham, whose eponymous dress collection debuted at New York Fashion Week in 2008, is nominated in the Emerging British Luxury Brand category at the annual Walpole Awards for Excellence on November 14.

Beckham will also compete with fashion heavyweights such as Stella McCartney and Tom Ford in the Designer Brand category at the upcoming British Fashion Awards 2011 on November 28.

THE COLOUR IS BLACK?

Black dress never goes out of fashion, and it is the most versatile of a dresses one can have. It is a must for every wardrobe. It can be worn at any time with the right accessories.

Keep this in mind when buying and wearing your black dress:
1. Divide your black dresses into two categories: those with their own focal points like an intricate neckline, sleeves,  bead work and so on and the plain and simple ones.
2. Dresses with their own focal points need very little accessories like a dash of colour for the daytime or a hint of sparkle with jewellery for the nights are all that you need to get going.
3. Always choose a style that fits you perfectly. Black always looks good provided you wear the right cut and fit.

4. Select a classic style that will not fade out as fashion trends change.
5. Choose the perfect length. Most people agree that a knee-length dress is most versatile for it serves as a multi-occassion garment.

To make the most of your plain little black dresses, team them u with a variety of accessories suitable for different occasions. Spend more time in deciding which handbags wraps, shoes and jewellery to choose.

TALKING ABOUT SLINGBACK LADY’S SHOES.

Slingback is a type of lady's shoes that is backless and has a strap that runs across the heel or ankle. Coming in beautiful colours and designs such as open or close-toes, flat, low or high heels, this cozy footwear complement any dress- corporate or casual.

For comfort and easy use, wearers painlessly slip their feet into them without any major adjustments on the buckle and at the same time securing the feet. This is because of the elastic band that runs across the heel. This fashionable accessory can be worn to any occasion. Hence, remember to add it to your wardrobe, to give you that funky look.

Interview With Susan Holmes: The Inspiring Life Of A Fashion Designer, Model And TV Personality.

Susan Holmes truly has it all. She's got her own swimwear line, has accomplished an extensive career as an international supermodel, has been featured on E!'s Married to Rock television series and is currently working on two books. Celebrities from Kate Hudson to Gwen Stefani wear her line and she gives back to charity along the way. Oh, and she's also a rock and roll wife married to former Guns N' Roses member Duff McKagan.

Ology got the chance to talk with Susan about all of the amazing work she's currently doing. And the modeling she continues to take part in? Well, they don't call her 'The Body' for nothing!
OLOGY: You have so much going on. I'm so excited to interview you!
SUSAN HOLMES: Likewise! Thanks.
Could you talk about what the swimwear industry is like out there now and your latest collection?
I've been working like a crazy woman for many years. Right now all of us swimwear designers--it's our crunch time. With regards to not only our new collection but also Sports Illustrated. Which in our industry, it's the Bible per say of the swimsuit buyers manual for the year. It's on newsstands for a year. It's a big one and kind of the benchmark for editors and buyers and costumers. This year we are seeing tons of red on the runway so that's a big happening. It's a statement color. There are many different shades of red from coral to a blue red to what we call an oxblood, which is a very dark brick, dark red. It's a very British-burberry type of red. Also, touches of neon...I did some cute feminine lace suits and neon was stunning on it.
I'm kind of in the niche of a rock and roll designer. Therefore, I do a lot of embellishment studding. People kind of gravitate toward my line. A lot of my hit selling suits that have appeared in and on the cover of Sports Illustrated are studded suits.
What's your inspiration when it comes to designing?
It's kind of a fusion of a lot of different things. I'm very blessed and fortunate from being a high fashion model for many years. I get to travel around the globe often whether it's South America or Cuba or Asia. I'm blessed because I get to see a lot of different cultures. And you know just different environmental landscapes...So it's very inspiring. I'm very lucky to take that into consideration when I'm inspired by different colors or styles but also of course the rock and roll element too. That's just kind of in my blood at this point with being a rock wife and being a general fan of music and rock and roll.
What do you think makes your line so unique?
They're made in the USA. And most swimwear is not made in America and I think now more than ever American's need to buy American. If you have a choice between A and B and you like both, buy American! When the holidays come around I try to buy American. My favorite website is by my friend Daryl Hannah...everything on the website is American made. I'm proud that I'm an American made swimwear company. And we donate a portion of our net proceeds to charities. We give a lot to various charities. Like the Surfrider foundation, which keeps our beaches and oceans cleaner, the Red Cross and the National Children Leukemia Foundation.
Daryl Hannah. The actress and activist?
Yeah. She's really sweet. She always makes a point to stand out. We can all learn a lot from her making a difference. She wakes up in the morning and thinks of a way she can make the world a better place.
That's fantastic how you give back like that. Would you ever consider designing jewelry too?
Yeah, I guess I can see branching out and being a quote un-quote life style line. I remember after my first big Fashion Show in L.A. I was put on the phone with [People's Revolution founder] Kelly Cutrone. She's a whip cracker. She was like, 'you need to branch out and develop a resort or a lifestyle line: accessories, sunglasses, perfume.' And that's great but I have a lot of things I'm juggling at the moment. I think I would have to collaborate with someone because I myself couldn't do all the necessary work that would need to be done.
It must be exciting to see celebrities wearing your high-end swimwear. Who are some specifics?
Yeah, I'm very flattered! I didn't know I would sell one bathing suit let alone have great, beautiful celebs wearing them. So I'm very grateful. Let's see who can I name drop here? [Laughs] Kate Hudson, Elle Macpherson, Tyra Banks, Daryl Hannah, Anna Kournikova, Gwen Stefani. Fergie--I just sent her a bunch of stuff. She's actually a fan of the show too. I ran into her at her private birthday party and I'm going over to her like 'Oh my God Fergie!' and she's like 'Oh my God I love Married to Rock! You're so cute on there!' We exchanged info and she asked for me to send her some suits. It was really funny and sweet. Who else? Heidi Klum. I should have this memorized, but there are a slew of them.
How do you find out who's wearing what?
It's all networking. I've had people like Denise Richards go into a shop like Planet Blue in Malibu and buy one of my suits. But then, I know Tyra. We're friends from modeling so when I was creative director for a day and a judge on America's Next Top Model I just brought her some suits as a gift for having me on the show. So it can be personal or it can be a lot of time through stylists or magazines or plain old shopping.
Is there any celebrity you'd like to style or like their style in general?
Hmm. I mean Stella McCartney I adore. I like her because she's also vegan. She cares about the environment and the animals and she gives back. She's classy and cool. I love Lauren Scott. She has the whole elegant rock and roll glamour. But celebs, let's see. I love Kate Hudson. I'm looking forward to her new jewelry line coming out with my friends from Chrome Hearts. I know they're collaborating on a gorgeous jewelry line...I love Sofia Vergara. She has a woman's body--boobs, a small waist and butt. She's just so womanly. And she knows how to dress and look chic and fantastic.
Have you kept in contact with a lot of friends who are models besides Tyra?
She's beyond busy as am I. We have a mutual respect for one another and we don't talk everyday but we're acquaintances. I'll see her on the red carpet at the Grammy's and we'll chat or she'll have me on her show or I'll send her a letter with some suits. We grab a moment where we can. As far as famous supermodels, the ones I see the most are Cindy Crawford and Niki Taylor.
All of these wonderful accomplishments of course stem from your international modeling career. I mean you earned the title 'The Body!' Is designing now your main focus?
I model occasionally on direct bookings. I wear a lot of hats like most modern day women. Here we are approaching 2012 and I have my mom hat on, I'm a wife, I'm an animal lover, I'm a designer, I'm a model. I just feel blessed that anyone asks me to model for them.
Let's talk about Married to Rock. What was that like?
I personally had a lot of fun. I've been in front of the camera modeling since high school and doing live runway shows around the world and doing a lot of TV stuff for FOX News for various styling segments. So I really enjoy being in front of the camera. I'm used to it and Duff is too. It's definitely a show a bit more on the girly side...I didn't know what to expect and I didn't know if I could trust the editing or how I would be portrayed. You always want to tread with caution.
Are you currently filming a second season? Would you want to?
Season one is still airing worldwide. It's aired in over 57 countries. It's still on the table but we don't know as of yet. But yeah, I think it would be great to have another season because I was very cautious with season one. I came from the Vogue modeling world of high fashion and sometimes a lot of these shows, especially when they intertwine rock and roll, they want to portray the cheesy side of it. I wanted to try and avoid that as much as possible so I treaded with a lot of caution.
That's definitely understandable. Now let's talk about your book! It sounds really interesting.
I'm working on two. One is more of a labor of love book on all my rock star couple friends and their wisdom and insight into the funny yet glamorous all romantic world of rock and roll. I've interviewed everyone from Aerosmith, Green Day, Van Halen, Weezer--the couples in the bands, how they met, and how they make it work. I interviewed all of them. It's going to go to a good charity. It's more like a labor of love yearbook with all our rock friends. I can see it being sold at Barneys or Urban Outfitters. Each couple submits their own pictures, their wedding photos and current photos.
So when you say Aerosmith, what couple are you talking about?
I was friends with Steven [Tyler] and Teresa [Barrick] but mid-book they separated so that went out the window. But Joe Perry and Billie Perry--they've been together for over 24 years. They're a beautiful couple. They have a lot of insight and they are private. I don't think they've ever done an interview like this before.
When is it coming out?
I don't know because that one's going on the back burner. I've been working on this other book, a novel. Its been taking all my effort because I've never done a novel before. It's intertwining my real life experiences with stories I might have read or touched upon in the modeling world and rock and roll world. So think Devil Wears Prada to Get Him to the Greek...It will be a fun interesting book and I think you'll have fun trying to decide who's who in the book. There's a Guns N' Roses story and a Top Model story in there.
You clearly have so many passions. Could you spare three more? What are your three Ologies?
Well definitely family. I always put family first. Creativity with me writing a book and designing a swimsuit line. I always at the end of the day, I always have to have a creative outlet, whether it's writing a book or my swimsuit line or baking pie. [Laughs] It keeps me going. And fashion.

Susan has so much going on, it's hard to keep up!
Susan and Duff will be headed to Fox 5 in San Diego on Oct. 26 for The Morning Show. Duff will follow up with a signing appearance for his new memoir "It's So Easy: And Other Lies" at Warwick's. The couple live part-time in both California and Seattle and have two daughters together, Grace, 14, and Mae, 11.

Going Trendy For The Summer.

More trends in fashion emerges by the day. Knowing the little add ups to appearing the in the best way possible is very essential. Here are my tips for going trendy this summer.

1. Prints: Coming through from the previous summer, prints are crawling back to our lives. This time however, prints are not restricted to animal prints alone. This season, Leopard prints are back for an edgier look, floral prints for a feminine and flirty look and Aztec prints for a more colourful look. With the diverse prints on clothing, shoes and bags, you could say prints are the new black.
A print shorts for men.

A brightly coloured print trouser for women.

2. Wear Crop Tops: Another very stylish but also essential trend this season, crop tops have emerged on the fashion scene. Usually worn for a less formal look, crop tops can be paired with trousers, skirts and shorts. However, this trend may not suit everyone due to the exposure of the midriff. Don't fret! If you insist on wearing a crop top but aren't comfortable with the abs it can be paired with a high wasted trouser or skirt.

3. Bright coloured trousers and blazers: Colour blocking was a trend that seemed a bit ridiculous at first but has become achievable by pairing the right colours. However colour blocking is not about about mixing colours randomly, there still needs to be some uniformity in the 'chaos'. Think red tops, blue trousers and purple blazers, sure to turn a gloomy day bright.

4. Bright nails for ladies: Following on with the trend of dramatic colours, nail polish colours are ever expanding from neon yellow to cracked pink. The good thing about this trend is that it can be done on your own. O.P.I and Barry M are probably the best bets when picking up a brand. With an addition of prints for an extra oomph, nails are becoming a fashion accessory on their own.

5. Moccasins and Loafers: Tasseled and non-tasseled, loafers and moccasins are hot for this season. A different, relaxed alternative to heels, loafers and moccasins range in colours from black to neon pink and can be worn with a pair of jeans and a top for casual day out with friends. Toms low-touch shoes is a wonder-talk in this regard. It matches so OK.

A cross-selection of Toms shoes.

 6. Wayfarer sunglasses: A revolutionary break from normal eye wear, wayfarers are here to stay. Useful for sunny day whilst giving off a cool edge, wayfarers are a fashion accessory for all, both men and women. Take leaf with the Ray Ban wayfarer glasses.

My Top 5 Celebrity Parfums That Scent Nice.

1. BRITNEY SPEARS RADIANCE EAU DE PARFUM
Brit clearly likes her fragrances fruity. This one has wild berries as a top note, but the addition of floral like orange flower, jasmine, tuberose and iris add a crisp sparkle and tempers any extra sweet intensity, while musk rounds everything out for a fruity-fresh-sexy vibe.

2. FERGIE OUTSPOKEN EAU DE PARFUM
There's definitely something unique about Fergie's fragrance; She just might be the only celeb-perfumer to include notes of leather and smoky vetiver, giving her scent a rich, earthy depth that pairs nicely with its crisp floral and berry top notes.

Fergie, holding out her perfume.

3. BLOOM BY REESE WITHERSPOON EAU DE PARFUM
Reese's light and refreshing floral scent manages to evoke the feel of a summer garden without drowning you in sickly sweet, overpowering floral. Georgia Peach tea leaves, and crisp green notes help keep the fragrance fresh and grounded.

4. KAT VON D ADORA EAU DE PARFUM

Kat Von D seems to have found winning recipe with her third perfume for Sephora: The scent has a sugary, floral warmth, but the layers or thyme, cassis, patchouli, and sheer musk keep it from smell at all candy-coated.

5. BEYONCE HEAT ULTIMATE ELIXIR
Call me crazy, but three words come to mind when I catch a whiff of this spicier version of Heat: Sexy cotton candy. The gourmand mix of sweet-but-not-too-sweet vanilla, tonka bean and Red vanilla orchid paired with sensual amber and cedarwood makes for a yummy, warm, enveloping scent.

Kanye West Rants Against Critics of His Fashion Line.

Kanye West held no punches in a rant against his critics last weekend, following the debut of his Women's Fashion line in Paris.

The Chi-town rapper premiered his new endeavor, dubbed Dw (after his late mother Donda West) this past weekend during Paris' Fashion Week, and many critics have already slammed it. The Wall Street Journal among other publications described Mr. West's collection as a disappointment, even calling the show "painful" at times.

According toWomen's Wear Daily,Mr. West made a speech during the star-studded after party following his show, at Club Silencio and addressed the skeptics.

"Thank you for anybody that didn't believe, because they motivated us to break our boundaries," he said. "We don't know what the reviews will be, we don't know what they will say, but I got a chance to go to Italy and feel those fabrics. I begged Louis Vuitton to let me do more shoes after my shoes sold out in two weeks, and they did not. I begged Nike, I begged this company to let me do it. And I took out motherfucking loans to get the best models, to get the best designers, to get the best venue. I gave you everything that I had."

"This is my first collection," he continued. "Please be easy. Please give me a chance to grow. This is not some celebrity **** I don't **** with celebrities. I **** with the creatives in this room, the amazing people who spend every day of their life trying to make the world a more beautiful place. The amount of people that tried to get me a celebrity ******* deal. They said, 'You need to do boot-cut jeans, or you won't sell.' Shut the **** up! Or Hedi Slimane in the motherfucking Mercer, sitting with me, saying, 'Stop giving them your ideas, Kanye. Do your own thing.' Hedi Slimane! To feel so frustrated.

Beauty & Fashion Tips: Style your Look!

This is a Guest blogger post by Sridhar Amanchy.

Looking gorgeous is a matter of knowing your body, knowing what to wear and how to wear right kind of clothes. Dressing up is an art and if you can master this art then you can be on top of the world. The important thing about dressing right is you should look slim and tall in whatever you wear, no matter what your weight is. Even fat women can look slim if they know the tricks of fashion. Learn how to camouflage your weight with proper dressing. Following are the tips that will make you look gorgeous, elegant and stunning!!   • Pick one hue Dressing head-to-toe in a single dark color, like navy or black, is the single best way to look like you've lost 10 pounds.

• Skip large patterns  Smaller patterns fool the eye and make for a more delicate look. And whatever you do, don't wear patterns on top and bottom -- that'll add 10 pounds.

• Slip on the right length skirt Stick to just-above-the-knee skirts that play off knees and elongate legs. Avoid a midcalf skirt, which draws attention to the widest part of your legs, making them look heavier.

• Ditch shorts Capris, on the other hand, are surprisingly slimming, especially if you stick to dark denim or black and wear ones that aren't too short or too long. They should end at the least-wide part of your calves, ideally a few inches above the ankle.

 • Wear a sexy tee V-neck and deep scoop-neck tees elongate the neck and make the torso appear longer by showing off your collarbone.

• Go vertical Thin vertical stripes on anything -- pants, shirts, skirts, dresses -- create the illusion of a longer, leaner body.

 • Slim down with color Hot summer hues like pink and yellow catch the eye and are good for body parts you want to play up. Pair them with black, brown or navy -- dark colors recede and are best for areas that you'd like to draw the eye away from.

• Pull out that A-line dress A gently flared A-line cut is universally flattering and hides large hips.

• Pick the perfect jeans Look for a pair that sits lower on your waist. And go for boot cut -- the slight flare fits over sandals and will give you longer, lankier legs.

• Sport three-inch heels High heels give you a thinner profile and silhouette.   • Avoid ankle-strap sandals The more of your leg and the top of your foot you show, the longer your leg line will appear.

• Pick a well-proportioned purse Petite women look sexiest with smaller bags, while large women look best with medium-size purses.

• Score face-slimming shades If your face is on the full side, wide rectangular-frame sunglasses give you a sleeker look.

   • Think long jewelry Long, skinny earrings and sleek pendant necklaces elongate and slim the face and body with their vertical lines.

• Wear bangles Skinny bangles or a bracelet-style watch make your arms look thinner by creating space around your wrist, which fools the eye, making you look slim.

• Pick the right part Opt for a side part -- a center part makes your face look round. A good rule of thumb to find the most flattering, face-slimming part: Use the arch of your eyebrow as a guide. Start the part above the arch and go back from there in a straight line.

• Skip bangs Or sweep them to the side if you have a round or square face. A bare forehead lengthens and slims the face.

 • Pull your hair back If your neck is on the short side, pulling hair up off your neck and shoulders makes the neck look longer and upper body appear thinner.

• Add volume Hair that lies too flat on the head makes a full face appear even bigger. A full or wavy style, on the other hand, minimizes a larger face.

• Do an updo Building extra height at the crown of your head narrows round features and makes your face seem thinner. For the simplest 'do ever, twist hair into a high knot and fasten with a pretty barrette.

SPA SAAVY ON POINT.

Many people are familiar with spas but for others it's a whole new experience. The number of spas and the wide variety of services available may seem intimidating at first, but a little knowledge goes a long way to ensure the experience you envision is what you actually end up with. Some of the most common concerns are, "how do i know if the place is any good? What do I need to do when I get there? What is it going to cost? Will it be worth it?" First, figure out where and when you can go and how much to spend, and how much time you have. Once all these have been answered, you sure know what to do. So, go ahead and indulge yourself in spa treatment, and see what all the hype is about.

THE TREATMENTS.

CHEMICAL PEEL
CLAIM: Your face will be left smooth and glowing.
PROS: Glycolic can stimulate collagen production to smooth fine lines, lactic acid can correct brown spots and salicylic acids prevent breakouts by cleaning out pores.
CONS: Burns are always a risk especially from peels with strong acids and low pH balance. Physicians need to closely monitor the procedure.

MICRODERMABRASION.
CLAIM: Pores to appear slimmer, fine lines, less noticeable.
PROS: While dark spots can indeed be lessened, the procedure won't get rid of wrinkles. Skin appearance does improve. The crystals remove dead skin cells that trap dirt.
CONS: The more clogged the skin, the coarser the tools need to be and that could lead to irritation later.

STEAMING EXTRACTION.
CLAIM: Steam opens the pores and loosens dirt trapped below. That makes extractions that follow less painful and helps oil absorbing masks penetrate the skin deeply.
PROS: The skin softens and is more elastic. Exfoliation and warm steam open the pores so extractions are easier to do with less risk of scaring.
CONS: Too much heat can cause irritation, dehydration and broken capillaries. Overly zealous extractions can push the fluid deeper and cause marks.

OXYGEN.
CLAIM: Oxygen hydrates the skin, making it look temporarily more dewy. It is particularly recommended for anyone with dry skin, smokers or frequent fliers.
PROS: Oxygen gives a blast of rosy glow. many of the facials contain a cocktail of vitamins and nutrients that can plump up the fine lines.
CONS: Got an oxygen gas chamber? That's what you'd really need for oxygen to actually penetrate the skin. Which means that results are more of a feel good sensation and actually not proven.

I hope you found this piece helpful.

Dressing to match for Various Occassions.

Whatever format the party takes, you would want your style to be right; you don’t want to either overdress or under-dress. If your aim is simply to blend with the crowd, then forget the fancy shoes and blazers. Go casual; try a fitted V-neck or a tidy graphic t-shirt, fitted jeans that are not too baggy and a pair of fresh trousers. Throw in a desert scarf for added effect. Other options are: T-shirt which you can pair with split jeans and worker boot; blue striped T-shirt, black wash skinny jeans which can go with navy loafers and premium loop scarf.

Here are the various kinds of parties you may attend and the style suited for each.

Black tie.

Dressing casual but letting the taste speak
A black tie invitation calls for formal attire. Men wear tuxedos, women wear cocktail, long dresses or dressy evening separates. ‘Formal’ usually means the same as black tie, but in some trendier cities, it could mean a black shirt, no tie with a tux. Women wear cocktail, long dresses or dressy evening separates. A white tie or ultra-formal invitation requires men wear full dress, with white tie, vest, shirt. Women wear long gowns.

Black tie optional.
A black tie optional or black tie invite gives you the option of wearing a tuxedo or formal dress, but it should clue you into the formality of the event, meaning a dark suit and tie would be your other option. Women wear cocktail, long dresses or dressy evening separates.

Creative black tie.
Creative black tie leaves room for trendy interpretations of formal wear. He can go no more modern with a tuxedo, may ne a black shirt, no tie. She wears long or short dresses or evening separates. Sometimes, themed parties call for dress codes like variations of creative black tie. In that situation, you can have more fun with it, choosing a dressy look with a theme (for him, it could be a tuxedo with boots; for her, it could be a long dress paired with Southwestern style, silver belt and jewelry).

Semi-formal.
Semi formal or after five means that tuxes are not required nor are long dresses. An evening wedding (after 6pm) would still dictate dark suits for the man and a cocktail dress for the woman. Daytime semi-formal events mean a suit for him and appropriate short dress or dressy suit for her. Business formal is the same as semi-formal for him. For women, it suggests that women opt for more tailored dressy suits and dresses (nothing too slinky or sexy).

Cocktail attire.
Cocktail attire means short, elegant dress for her and dark suit for him.

Festive attire.
Festive attire is usually seen around the holidays, with the mood of the party being informal or semi-formal. For her, it means to choose looks with a bit of sparkle or holiday bent (i.e a beaded sweater with black trouser; a red silk blouse with a black skirt).

Dressy casual.
This calls for dress-up versions of casual looks. For him, it could be trousers and a sport coat. For her, a dressy trousers and a sport coat. For her, a dress trousers look is the perfect call. Jeans, shorts, T-shirts and other casual looks are not appropriate for dress y casual.
